DAVID is a member of the Corporate and Securities practice group which advises emerging companies and venture capital firms. David practices in the areas of corporate formation, venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, public company securities, and technology licensing transactions.

David has an active practice representing China-focused emerging companies, both in the United States and in China. He has deep experience representing China’s leading private and public internet companies. In addition, David’s practice involves a broad network of entrepreneurs, angel investors and venture capitalists that are active in developing China-focused companies.

David earned his J.D. from Stanford University and his B.A., summa cum laude, from the University of California at Berkeley. Prior to joining Gunderson Dettmer, David was a partner at Orrick and a founding attorney and Director of Venture Law Group.
